Hopeful into the New Year – 100 days until New Year's Eve Adel Tawil, Dieter Hallervorden and Alina Wichmann start the countdown for "Celebrate at the Gate“

There are only 100 days left until New Year's Eve and "Celebrate at the Gate", the two-day New Year's Eve event at the Brandenburg Gate, is within touching distance. With great excitement, the organisers and managing directors of sib Silvester in Berlin Veranstaltungen GmbH, Maiko Heinrich and Christoph Post, as well as the first confirmed artists of the event, pop musician Adel Tawil, actor and theatre director Dieter Hallervorden and singer Alina, started the countdown to the New Year's Eve show today at the Brandenburg Gate.

In 100 days, Berliners and visitors from all over the world will celebrate the New Year together on stage in front of the Brandenburg Gate. "The fact that 'Celebrate at the Gate' can take place again in 2021 with a live audience is a great signal for the year ahead. By celebrating together at the Brandenburg Gate, the organisers want to send a signal of hope and give guests an unforgettable and safe experience. In close cooperation with the Berlin authorities and based on the concepts and the infection prevention regulations then in force, we will start the new year united as one strong country," says Maiko Heinrich, Managing Director of sib. "With 'Celebrate at the Gate' and our new concept, we will once again make celebrating together a permanent feature and complete the worldwide New Year's Eve events with the terrific party in the capital. Our celebration this year at the Brandenburg Gate will carry the message of a new start everywhere in Germany and around the world," adds Christoph Post, Managing Director of sib.

Pop musician Adel Tawil looks forward with confidence: "To be able to perform here again in front of a big audience in a few weeks is an incredible feeling. It makes me proud to be part of this new chapter."
"The stage is the place where we have been able to inspire people with our art for decades. The last few years have unfortunately taken a lot out of the industry. So it is nice to now be able to set a sign for a new beginning," explains actor and theatre director Dieter Hallervorden. In addition to stars like the first two confirmed artists Adel Tawil and Dieter Hallervorden, the new concept will also be complemented by up-and-coming musicians. Singer and songwriter Alina is full of confidence: "A place like Berlin, with its diversity, is made for such a celebration. I'm very happy to be able to be part of it."
