SocialChain enters new partnership with Holland & Barrett
Holland & Barrett is set to appoint social media marketing agency SocialChain to handle its social and content account following a three-month pitch.
The social media-focused agency beat Born Social and Gravity Road in a competitive pitch run by AAR. Electric House, a Birmingham-based content production studio, was the incumbent.
Sarah Moores, head of customer and campaign planning at Holland & Barrett, said: “We’re delighted to announce that we are in the process of appointing SocialChain as our new content and social agency to help us transform our activity, and we’re looking forward to starting our partnership.”
The health food and supplements retailer’s search for a creative partner, with AAR acting as intermediary, came to light earlier this month.
SocialChain CEO Pete Metcalfe said: “We are delighted to be appointed Holland & Barrett’s social and content agency. It is one of Europe’s biggest wellness brands and has been a pioneer in this space for more than 150 years.
“We are excited to help it enhance its offering across social to help bring its mission to new audiences through engaging and creative content.”
Social and digital media company Brave Bison acquired SocialChain this February.
A spokesperson from Electric House said: “We’ve greatly enjoyed working with the team at Holland & Barrett and we wish them every success in the future.”
Moores added: “We’d like to say thank you to Electric House with whom we’ve worked for the past three years. However, as we go into a transformational year, we’re excited to have SocialChain on board to help us take brave new steps in revolutionising our content in these spaces.”
